In the past seven months, Andrew and I have battled much with culture and its view on marriage and relationships. Movies, magazines, etc. etc. all project weddings as this unbelievable bliss. As a planner, I have had to wrestle a lot with my own expectations. I tell myself that things have to be a certain way and if they are not then it's a failure, which by the way is an absolute LIE!
We've been so encouraged by friends, our church, the WORD, parents, and so many others that speak God's truth into our lives. It's only when we/I open our eyes to that which is around us and get confused with the purpose, meaning and significance of love and marriage that things seem to go wrong.
