Thank you for all of you who prayed for us. We had a good trip here largely due to the fact that we ended up having a whole row of seats to ourselves. We not only got an extra seat, but two extra seats! What an incredible blessing. Caleb slept for 4 of the 8 hours on our flight to Paris. He spent several of the awake hours watching Baby Einstein and walking/running the aisles of the plane. I was so thankful when they finally turned out the bright halogen lights, finally allowing him to go to sleep.

We had a 1.5 hour wait in Paris before we boarded our flight to Hannover, once again getting an extra seat to ourselves. What a gracious provision, especially on such a small airplane.

We were greeted by grandparents and three of my best childhood friends, two of them skipping university classes in order to be there. The Hannover/Langenhagen airport holds so many wonderful childhood memories of reunions with my own grandparents as well as friends when our family returned from furlough on multiple occasions. This reunion will be added to that bank of fond childhood memories.

That evening, we had a wonderful Raclette dinner with so many of my closest friends in Langenhagen.
It was so incredibly heart-warming how everyone came together to welcome us and we had wonderful conversation and a delicious meal. More to come on the coming days in the next post...
Bis dann!
